JimmyJane Iconic Smoothie White Vibrator

Jimmyjane Iconic Smoothie Vibrator Review

Today I am reviewing the Jimmyjane Iconic Smoothie Vibrator as part of The Usual Suspects collection by Jimmyjane. Jimmyjane toys, according to their website are; “high end and quality focused” with their self described luxury vibrators providing “pleasure and strengthening connections, to create provocative possibilities”.

The Usual Suspect Collection is made up of some of the most recognised and iconic vibrators in the world, redesigned by Jimmyjane and presented in a pure white colour. For some reason Apple products sprung to mind….

The Iconic Smoothie is a nod to the first vibrators that appeared on the market in the 1940s under the guise of ‘personal massagers’ and has long been the shape most synonymous with sex toys since.

The Iconic Smoothie comes with batteries included (as per my previous review of the Rocks-Off Bullet Vibrator, this is an instant star winner!) in a discreetly packaged box. It’s clear Jimmyjane were aiming for a classy yet affordable angle with this toy, with the white colouring as well as the packaging, which includes a bit of history about the toy itself.

The bottom of this vibrator twists to turn the toy on and you can adjust the vibration setting from here.  Despite having varying speeds of vibration, the The Iconic Smoothie only has one style of pulsation which personally for me, can get old pretty quickly. I played around with a couple of different speeds, the strongest I found just a little too intense for my liking… but I just toned that down a little and it worked very well 😉

The Iconic Smoothie can be used both internally and externally which is great for variation, but the smooth surface meant I preferred using it externally.

The shape of the tip was great for clit stimulation which is what I found this toy best for.

I used this with my partner as well who enjoyed it but got a little over excited playing with the speed at one point, twisting the base off completely (note to self… remember to calm boyfriend down first, before bringing out toys).

The toy is also bath friendly but I didn’t get a chance to test this feature out unfortunately. I recommend you do and let me know how it goes.

I really like the versatility of the toy. I used it both internally and externally and found both enjoyable, although ultimately I used it mostly just externally. It is also extremely easy to clean, just mild soap and water, as opposed to having to buy special sex toy cleaner or wipes.

I found the Iconic Smoothie a little too clinical in appearance. The plain basic white colour was just a little boring for me. I like a little bit of flare and colour in my sex toys and this felt almost medical in its appearance.  I suppose that’s only a trivial point though.

If you are looking for a something plainer and more simple in a vibrator, but still want a quality sex toy that allows for  variety, I would recommend the Jimmyjane Iconic Smoothie Vibrator.

The Iconic Smoothie is currently on sale for $32.90 and also available in the triple play promo with free K Y lubricant.

Would make an excellent late Xmas or new years present for a sex toys beginner, yourself or your partner. It’s discreet and non-offensive, but still is a reliable basic vibe.

3 out of 5 orgasms.

Rocks-Off Bullet Vibrator Review

Miss Moisty Reviews The Rocks-Off Bullet Vibrator

So, it rocked up on my doorstep in the usual discreet packaging – (thanks OohSexToys) and I thought to myself; “here we go, just another bullet vibrator to chew up battery, with 1 setting, to leave me unsatisfied”.

But after my first experience with this toy, I was glad to be proven wrong.

HOLY SHIT best describes my initial thoughts after using the Rocks-Off Deadly Passion Bullet Vibrator. It packs a punch for it’s small size (80 mm length).

First of all, the aesthetics of the toy are designed by U.K based tattoo artist Lal Hardy, who’s claim to fame is turning “tattoo disaster pieces in master pieces”. U.K based toy designer Rocks-Off sure have done a great job of making this vibrator stand out from the crowd.

Everything about this ladies vibrator is pretty, from its stylish, colourful packaging, (which for once doesn’t feature a half naked women on it, thank God!), to the smooth bullet shape, to the gold casing. The pattern features a fairly traditionally tattoo piece – a dagger and roses emblazoned on it with the script ‘passion’ down the side.

This bullet vibrator is so pretty you almost want to leave it out as home décor… but I live in a share house so that might be awkward.

The batteries come included, which is my pet hate about buying new sex toys. It’s like a disappointing Christmas when you have to put your pants back on to run to the shop, to buy batteries.

What I liked about the Rocks-Off Deadly Passion Bullet

My favourite feature of this toy was the 7 speed / vibration settings. I personally hate the whole off / vibrate feature most bullets have. The same pattern of vibration sends me numb after awhile…but not this! I had great fun playing around with the different speeds and pulses a couple of a times, with varying results.

The toy is small and would travel easily in a purse, handbag or backpack. It is only recommended for external use but you won’t be left disappointed. This also makes it great for (SAFE!) partner play. As I mentioned, it’s small and pretty and won’t scare your man (or lady) off!

At $25.95 Aussie dollars (plus $10.95 for Express Post shipping), it won’t break the bank and it will get to you quickly.

My least favourite parts of this vibrator

My only minor issue with the Rocks Off Deadly Passion Bullet is the shape of the vibrator. Being shaped like an actual bullet, I found it a little bit pointy at the end. So, I had to be a little careful with which angle I used it.

I recommend the Rocks-Off Bullet for….

All and all it was a good little toy. I would recommend for a first time vibrator user or someone looking for something discreet and not intimidating, but still high quality and fun.

4 out of 5 stars (or squirts). What’s your experience with this bullet vibrator? Comment below.

10 Popular Songs About Masturbation

Male, female, non-gender specific, who doesn’t enjoy some masturbation? It’s actually so popular that many, many, many musicians and songwriters have written and performed songs about this touchy-feely subject. This is just a short list!

Our playlist of 10 songs about masturbating

Nothing to be ashamed of and definitely no judgement here. Enjoy having a listen to this playlist of fun, catchy and famous songs about masturbation from over the years. They might even inspire you to get up and dance…or please yourself. 🙂

1. The Divinyls ‘I Touch Myself’

“I love myself….I search myself….I forget myself….I don’t want anybody else, when I think about you, I touch myself….ooooh ooooh ooooh ahhhhh”.

The Aussie rock duet featuring the powerful vocals of the voluptuous Chrissy Amphlett and the twangy guitar hooks of Mark McEntee, left nothing to the imagination.

2. Blink 182 ‘M+M’s’

“My love life was getting so bland. There are only so many ways I can make love with my hand”.

Again, straight to the sticky point from punk legends Blink 182. Written by Mark Hoppus and from Blink’s 1994 debut studio album, Cheshire Cat.

3. Elvis Costello ‘Pump It Up’

“She’s been a bad girl. She’s like a chemical. Though you try to stop it, she’s like a narcotic. You wanna torture her. You wanna talk to her. All the things you bought for her, putting up your temperature. Pump it up until you can feel it. Pump it up when you don’t really need it”.

Though not as obvious as the first 2 touchy songs, we all know what English singer-songwriter Elvis Costello was pumping up.

4. The Violent Femmes ‘Blister In The Sun’

“Body and beats, I stain my sheets, I don’t even know why. My girlfriend, she’s at the end, she is starting to cry. Let me go on…like I blister in the sun. Let me go on… big hands, I know you’re the one”.

Super catchy masturbation songwriting from alt-rockers The Violent Femmes, with this 1983 classic. We know why those sheets were stained.

5. The Cure ‘Close To Me’

“I’ve waited hours for this…I never thought that tonight could ever be, this close to me….hold my breath…and wait until I shake…but if I had your faith…then I could make it safe and clean…I never thought that tonight could ever be this close to me”.

Robert Smith sure knows his stuff, we always recommend keeping it safe and clean.

Close To Me was a huge hit, peaking at #4 in Ireland, #7 in Australia and #24 in the U.K. It was later remixed and released again, making it to #13 in the U.K. The remix also cracked the billboard top 100 in the U.S. at #97. We guess that masturbation is not as popular in the US, but we find that hard to believe.

6. Green Day ‘Longview’

“Sit around and watch the tube, but nothing’s on…I change the channels for an hour or two…twiddle my thumbs just for a bit…I’m sick of all the same old shit…in a house with unlocked doors…and I’m fucking lazy…bite my lip and close my eyes…take me away to paradise…I’m so damn bored I’m going blind…when masturbation’s lost its fun…you’re fucking lonely”.

We hope Billy Joe Armstrong didn’t hurt himself whacking off to this punk rock hit from his band Green Day. Sounds like he overdid it a little. Glad the first few rounds took him to paradise though.

7. Billy Idol ‘Dancing With Myself’

“When there’s no-one else in sight…in the crowded lonely night…well I wait so long…for my love vibration…and I’m dancing with myself”.

Billy Idol gives an amusing name to masturbating in this song, from his 1981 EP – Don’t Stop.

8. The Who ‘Pictures Of Lily’

“I got so sick of having sleepless nights…I went and told my dad…he said “son now here’s some little something”…and stuck them on my wall…and now my nights seem quite so lonely…in fact I, I don’t feel bad at all…Pictures of Lily…Made my life so wonderful…Helped me sleep at night…Pictures of Lily…Solved my childhood problem…Helped me feel alright…Lily, Oh Lily”.

This 1967 song written by guitarist Pete Townshend from rock legends The Who, doesn’t mention masturbation directly. It still got our minds wandering.

As up close and personal as these lyrics might seem, there is a couple of different views on the meaning and origin of the song about Lily.

9. Tori Amos ‘Icicle’

“And when my hand touches myself…I can finally rest my head…And when they say take of his body…I think I’ll take from mine instead…getting off…getting off…while they’re all downstairs…singing prayers”.

We’re glad Tori has her priorities straight. Not that there’s anything boring about singing prayers, but upstairs sounds more thrilling.

There’s some deeply touching lyrics here from American songstress and multi-instrumentalist, Tori Amos.

Tori penned this song for her album ‘Under The Pink’. Hmmm……wonder what that was about? Sounds interesting anyway. Actually…what was the Icicle? Maybe one of these glass pleasure providers.

10. The Vapors ‘Turning Japanese’

“I’ve got your picture of me and you…I sit there staring and there’s nothing else to do…I often kiss you when there’s no one else around…I’ve got your picture…I’d like a million of you all round my cell…I want a doctor to take your picture…so I can look at you from inside as well…you’ve got me turning up and turning down…and turning in and turning ’round”.

Vapors Lead singer Dave Fenton said the song is about lost love, with “clichés about angst and youth and turning into something you didn’t expect to”. Which doesn’t explain the unique Japanese laden chorus, oriental style riff and song title.

Other sources say the song refers to the oriental facial expression some people get when reaching climax during masturbation. We prefer this interpretation of the song.
